His main areas of research are critical geopolitics and the contemporary Islamic world with a special focus on political Islam and its geopolitical representations.
Monika Šumberová is Lecturer at the University of Ostrava, Ostrava, Czech Republic, and member of the Centre of Political and Cultural Geography.
