K. Jaishankar (PhD) is a senior assistant professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, India. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of two international journals and has edited three books and authored one. He is a Co-Investigator of an International project on cyber-bullying and a member of the UNODC (United Nations office of Drugs and Crime, Vienna) Core group of Experts on Identity related crime. Jaishankar is the proponent of the “Space Transition Theory of Cyber Crimes” and his areas of academic competence are Victimology, cyber criminology, crime mapping, GIS, communal violence, policing, and crime prevention.
