Whilst it is ethnographic in nature, it also synthesizes the existing literature on the identities and cultures in postmodern world, pointing out to different angles from which these issues have been discussed in anthropological theory. Marta Kempny is a recent PhD graduate in Social Anthropology from Queen’s University Belfast. She holds MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Her primary areas of research lie at intersection of anthropology of globalization and religion, with her main interests being migration, ethnicity and transnationalism.
