Cognitive Decision-Making: Empirical and Foundational Issues |
“In the complex economy of research, CSP occupies a neglected niche. CSP gives beginning authors and editors a chance to start in the academic business of publishing. The staff at CSP is efficient and get things done. I would do it again anytime (and in fact, I will !).”

Language and Discipline Perspectives on Academic Discourse |
“Being the editor of a book published by the beginning of 2007, my experience with CSP is limited, but very positive. I have been particularly impressed by the promptness of their responses to all my questions during the process (from submitting the book proposal via proof-reading to the release of the book). The attitude of the persons I have been in contact with has been extraordinarily positive and helpful.”

Tomorrow through the Past: Neal Stephenson and the Project of Global Modernization |
“Working with CSP was a great experience; first, the people at CSP were helpful, prompt, professional, and easy to work with. My questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, and my work was supported at all points. Second, the finished work looks great and, I think, helps add to the critical response to Neal Stephenson; without CSP’s interest in the subject and help getting the materials together, it simply would not be. I would like to see CSP’s materials listed with Amazon.com and other online retailers, as I think this would help with visibility for the titles and the line in general.”

“My publishing experience with Cambridge Scholars Publishing has been excellent. The CSP team is highly professional and extremely cooperative throughout the publication process. Book production is fast, efficient and with much attention to detail. Provisions of the publishing contract are more than satisfactory.”

“Strengths of CSP: - prepared to publish wide variety of works and topics - review copies and distribution services - speed of printing turnaround - responsive to my requests re: dust jacket, inclusion of images, etc - friendly communications. Overall, the press delivers a solid product. The labour required of the authors is quite a bit more than with other presses, but the compensation is in having a free hand and a quick publishing process.”

Objects, Audiences, and Literatures |
“Overall I enjoyed the experience of working with Cambridge Scholars Publishing on the publication of Objects, Audiences, and Literatures. I appreciated their editors’ initial interest in the subject (which stemmed from a conference session I chaired), the prompt and simple contract that we agreed to, and the responsiveness of the editing team throughout the duration of the project. While the responsibility for layout and formatting was ours, CSP provided guidelines and was helpful when questions arose, and accommodating with some last-minute changes we proposed as the project neared its final stages. CSP was receptive to our ideas concerning the cover design, and the book was in our hands just two months after we submitted and signed off on the final typescript. Virtually all communication proceeded by email, and all drafts were submitted as attachments or easily downloaded from servers. The five authors as well as co-editors are pleased with the result. It was a worthwhile project and a good collaboration.”

I found dealing with yourselves in CSP to be a very positive experience. The friendly professional service provided by CSP is second to none and contributed enormously to the success of the publishing endeavours at our project here in Ireland. The service we received was extremely good and timely and all of the staff contacted (as relating to different aspects of particular publications) were most helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them despite the many numerous minor editing changes that go into the production of any book! I would like to thank everyone at CSP for their generous help in the preparation and printing of the growing cohort of publications that we have produced in collaboration with CSP.”

“CSP has
encouraged efficient communication and has been clear about its
expectations - the feedback regarding the direction/focus of the
proposed manuscript at the acceptance phase of the publication
proposal, has been extremely useful; the submission guidelines have
been very comprehensive; and, any further queries directed to relevant
staff have been treated with fair consideration. CSP has
also been reasonably flexible with submission deadlines while
maintaining its promise of an author/editor friendly publishing
process (no lengthly agonising periods between proposals, acceptance of
proposals, submission of manucripts and publishing) |

“CSP has been quite friendly in the overall publishing process: requests have been answered promptly and solutions for technical problems have always been looked for with a very cooperative attitude. The possibility of a constant direct contact with the people responsible for the publication is a specially good feature of the publisher.”

“I was quite surprised at how quickly the editing and publishing process moved along. During this time, all of my inquiries were promptly and fully answered. I felt that I was dealing with honest and sincere people who were not only encouraging but also had an interest in my project being a success.”

Into the Mainstream |
For unanticipated professional reasons, Into the Mainstream: Essays in Spanish American and Latino Literature and Culture became a far more difficult enterprise than I envisioned originally. Therefore, the timeline that I proposed initially proved difficult to meet for me and for the sixteen scholars who agreed to participate in the project. Nonetheless, Cambridge Scholars Publishing supported the endeavor wholeheartedly despite the delays, allowing it to develop without submitting me to undue pressures. I was impressed throughout with the professionalism of the editorial staff. They helped a great deal with the formatting process and returned nearly flawless galleys to me with remarkable promptness. Given my experience, I would certainly undertake another book project with Cambridge Scholars Publishing, and I encourage other authors to consider it as a venue for scholarly projects.

Through Other Eyes. The Translation of Anglophone Literature in Europe |
I have found the experience of working with CSP to be a very positive one. I was particularly impressed by the speed at which things were done; far quicker, it seems, than many other publishers. The work carried out was accurate and efficient and the contact with different staff at CSP was always very friendly and helpful. I found the format of the book and the presentation of the book cover particularly attractive. My thanks are due to all staff with whom I worked together during the different stages of the publication. |
